Love this shot and the post processing. Its reminds me of one of the LS Lowry paintings of the matchstick men! One of the best bridge photos I have ever seen - well done!

Hi, like this, seems to have a very 1960's feel to it, perhaps it's the sweeping concrete and the men in the white shirts.

Just also watched a few of the podcasts on the flight home(downloaded to my ipod) they are really great!!

Such a perfect photography! The little blue layer -almost- feeling (maybe a filter?) is amazing and makes a nice contrast with the yellow taxi. The dark section gives a mysterious effect and because the focus point is a bit towards to stairs, a blurness happens on the taxi which makes it a dreamy looking taxi. The cutest taxi ever, looks like a toy! Loved this piece.

Love the gritty feel and almost smell the coffee. Just wondering if the point of the hart isn't leading the viewers eyes out of the picture.

Even though I agree that the numbers are contrived and that this decade is not really different than the one that ended last year, I do think in this case the millennium and this year align nicely.

Digital photography was just breaking through then and my personal archive begins at 2001. I tried film photography in the 80's ad 90's... well, I "attempted"... and was so overwhelmed I never even bought an SLR. It is only after tens of thousands of digital pictures, a leap in comprehension after discovering your podcasts, and a leap in post-production capabilities after buying a Mac, that I even understand the basics!

Good luck with the next ten years... and keep doing the podcasts and publishing your stuff!

This is a very healthy attitude. I couldn't agree more. I don't work in a creative role per se... I couldn't. I'm amazed that people that love their art - as you do with photography - are able to make a living from it. An architect friend once told me she didn't want to work for people that told her "how" they wanted whatever they were commissioning. I told her she'd never be hired by me either... and that she should just suck it up, be happy about it, become really successful and rich, and then build whatever she wants where nobody has anything to say about it.
